National Jarul Book Awards 2023-24

 

JML School is happy to be part of the National Jarul Book Award Jury for 2023-24.

As part of this process:

1.      Our Middle and Senior School Students (Std 7 and up) who choose to be part of the Jury will first read all the 10 books from the long list and give their rating for each book (1 to 5 stars).

2.     Once we submit these ratings, the Jarul team will publish a shortlist of 3 top rated books.

3.     Our students of Ages 5 – 11 will be given these 3 top rated books to read / or be read to and they will then vote for their favourite out of these.

4.     These votes will be submitted to the Jarul team who will collect votes from all participating schools and declare a winner for 2023-24.

5.     Some of our students will be invited for the award function and interact with the nominated and winning authors.

By being part of this jury:

1.      Our library will get all of the books from the long list.

2.     Our students and teachers will get a great opportunity to get to know contemporary books by Indian authors.

3.     The reading culture at JML will get a boost.

We hope to get maximum participation from our students, teachers and even parents, to encourage everyone to read more.
